LIGHT UP WINNETKA FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Every holiday season, the Village of Winnetka business districts look festive and charming with evergreen decorations and lighted trees. This beautiful tradition continues year after year, in part, from donations to the Holiday Lighting Fund.
The Winnetka Chamber of Commerce supports the Village's Lighting Fund by offering a series of commemorative porcelain plates. Local artist Kaylyn Shelby began designing the plates in 2005. That year she drew an illustration of the Village Hall and Moffat Mall in green, followed the next year by the Schmidt-Burnham Log House in brown and for 2007, the Hubbard Woods Gazebo in cranberry red. The 2008 plate is a black line drawing of New Trier High School.
Each 6" plate is lead-free and dishwasher safe. They are perfect to use as appetizer or dessert plates and make thoughtful gifts for anyone who has fond memories of Winnetka.
The plates come boxed and in a protective sleeve for gift-giving or mailing. They can be purchased separately or as a set. For a donation of $25 a piece ($15 is tax deductible), the Village Hall, Log House and Gazebo plates are available. The contribution for the New Trier plate is $45 ($30 is tax deductible).
A set of all four plates makes a handsome presentation and is offered at a reduced price of $85 ($40 tax deduction). Please remember, all donations go to Winnetka's Holiday Lighting Fund.
What a great way to support your Village and at the same time, share lovely gifts with friends, family and neighbors--or treat yourself to a set!
To place your order, contact the Chamber at (847) 446-4451 or email wcc@winnetkachamber.com. (Additional discounts are available for quantities of ten or more plates.)
