Promotional Events:
Spring:
- “Spring Art Walk” – Local talent is invited to join Winnetka businesses in showcasing their “finery” artistically during the month of March.
- “Recognition Luncheon” – Annual tribute to honor business leaders, Winnetka volunteers, Village organizations, and staff. for their extraordinary community service.
- “Multi-Chamber Expo” – collaborative event of many North Shore Chambers featuring local business exhibitions and networking opportunities.
Summer:
- North Shore Women’s Conference – spectacular day of motivation, networking, learning and fun featuring a luncheon and keynote speaker focusing on topics concerning women in business.
- “JAZZING UP Winnetka” Sidewalk Sale – a MEGA two day outdoor event which features jazz music, food, entertainment and bargains in three districts: Hubbard Woods, East and West Elm.
Winter:
- “Winnetka Winterfest” – holiday festivities include children’s caroling, street banners, special events.
- Holiday Sunday Sale at participating merchant shops.

- Monthly Board Meetings – at 7:30am, each 2nd Tuesday, open to membership.
- Membership Directory – the #1 resource listing of Chamber Member contact information for internal networking and communication purposes ONLY
- Win-Net-Work – a monthly news summary of Chamber business distributed to all members highlighting new members, special events, promotions, and Member news.
Social/Networking:
- After Hours – networking opportunity for members to meet, mingle and make new contacts.
- Before Hours – has three components:
-Business Enhancement Committee meetings to provide support for your business goals.
-Regular morning networking meetings for business information and contacts.
-Multi-Chamber “Speed” Networking meetings for regional business-to-business relations.
Public Relations
- Telephone referrals – to inform the public of services, products and specific information for Chamber Members in response to the hundreds of calls, e-mails, faxes and website inquiries received each year.
Publicity:
- Community Guide – an annual all-purpose resource book on Winnetka which lists all Chamber members both alphabetically and categorically. Both this Guide and the Holiday book (see below) are produced in partnership with the Pioneer Press and distributed to all Winnetka and Northfield households and businesses
- Holiday/Winter book – an annual November Pioneer Press publication highlighting promotions and seasonal shopping events. It includes Chamber members business listings by categories and a special holiday “Wish List” gift guide.
- www.winnetkachamber.com or www.winnetkachamber.org – Chamber’s website where members are automatically listed alphabetically and categorically. Members’ websites are hyperlinked free of charge into their own website home pages from the Chamber’s site. The Chamber offers a free job posting. Other features include the Chamber monthly press story, upcoming events, demographics and links to Village organizations.
- Banners – are personalized throughout the four commercial districts in Winnetka on a seasonal basis.
- Weekly Pioneer Press Chamber Ad – features Chamber events and special news announcements in the Winnetka local community newspaper.
- Chamber monthly Pioneer Press news column – highlights business news of Chamber events and Member activities in the “Winnetka Talk” of Pioneer Press .
- Kiosk panel – is an informational display sign on the corner of Oak Street and Green Bay Road for Winnetka located Members to announce their own events.
Optional Services:
- Relocation List – A monthly formatted list of residents and businesses moving into, out of and within Winnetka is available.
- “Shoppe Talk” – is a formatted advertorial glossy mailer which is sent to residents and businesses in Winnetka and Northfield twice a year. This newsletter is a vehicle for business owners and organizations to “talk shop” to the community residents.
Community Relations
- The Chamber works in conjunction with the Village to provide banners, holiday lighting, and informational kiosk signage. As a member of Village Business Community Development Commission, the Chamber is committed to the ongoing effort to address and improve Winnetka’s business community.
